The first batch of Chinese gov’t donation to fight against novel coronavirus outbreak ( COVID-19) in Sri Lanka handed over to the government health officials.
The donation of 50,000 medical masks, 1008 nucleic acid diagnostic kits (test kits) and other supporting equipment were handed over by the Chargé d’affaires of Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Hu Wei to the health officials in the Government of Sri Lanka, today in Colombo.
According to the embassy, the second batch of the aid is on its way.
Before handing over, the Embassy of China and the Health Ministry of Sri Lanka checked all the items of the gov’t aid, to assure the certificates and quality.
“Dr. Anil Jasinghe conveyed his great satisfaction and appreciations to the medical supplies at the most urgent needed time,” the embassy noted.
