Sneak peek of 1,300-year-old China’s Quanzhou

With a history of 1,300 years, Quanzhou is a coastal city in Fujian Province and a global maritime trade center in ancient China.

During the First Global Age when the world became globally interconnected, businessmen, travelers and missionaries from all over the world went to Quanzhou for trade.

The city has been inscribed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s World Heritage List at the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO in east China’s Fujian.

Sri Lanka China Journalists' Forum was established in May 2001 as the Sri Lanka - China Young Journalists' Forum and was in force as a main association that promotes mutual understanding between Sri Lanka and China.
