Chinese Ambassador Cheng Xueyuan said that development projects implemented by China in Sri Lanka are very vital for the economic development of Sri Lanka.
He said that although projects such as the Hambantota Port and the Colombo Port City Project are key to Sri Lanka’s future development goals, the Western media is looking at it negatively.
