CCTV nad CRI felicitates for his dedicated service towards mutual understanding between China and Sri Lanka through SLCYJF

Sri Lanka – China Young Journalists’ forum that has implemented a number of steps to boost the bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China aiming stronger diplomacy, was felicitated by the China Central Television (CCTV) and the China Radio International (CRI) at the recent function held in Colombo.

The project was initiated in 2007 with the personal mediation of Mr. Nalin Aponso with the then Cultural Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka to explore the possible institutions enabling the CCTV and CRI to find the most accurate media partnership to launch the CCTV and CRI programmes in Sri Lanka.

In recognition of the immense assistance rendered in this regard by Mr.Nalin Aponso the President of Sri Lanka-China Young Journalists’ Forum (SLCYJF), China Central Television (CCTV) and China Radio International (CRI) felicitated him for the precious support and assistance rendered to enhance the mutual understanding between China and Sri Lanka through SLCYJF and in person in the project of accessing programmes of CCTV and CRI to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka China Journalists' Forum was established in May 2001 as the Sri Lanka - China Young Journalists' Forum and was in force as a main association that promotes mutual understanding between Sri Lanka and China.
