Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visits Sri Lanka

Former Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wu Jianghao, as the representative of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, visited Sri Lanka between 1 and 2 December. He paid separate calls on H.E. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Hon. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Hon. Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, Hon. Former PM Ranil Wickremesinghe and held a meeting with Hon. Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena. The two sides agreed to further strengthen the robust political trust between the two countries, upgrade their practical cooperation, speed up the implementation of the big economic projects including the Colombo Port City and the Hambantota Port according to existing consensus and, on that basis, draw up the new blueprint for future cooperation.
